Sabot Consulting is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to provide senior level technical leadership and consultative services in support of State departments and public sector agencies. The Senior Technical Lead serves as a hands on technical leader responsible for analytical problem solving, solution design, data and system oversight, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of project tasks and deliverables. The role requires close collaboration with State IT staff and leadership to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, governance standards, and State regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Provides senior level technical leadership and consultative services in support of public sector agencies.
- Serves as a hands‑on technical leader responsible for analytical problem solving, solution design, data and system oversight, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of project tasks and deliverables.
- Close collaboration with State IT staff and leadership to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, governance standards, and State regulatory requirements.
Must Have:
- Two years of experience providing Senior Technical Lead or comparable senior level technical services to a California State Department.
- Analytical thinking and complex problem‑solving in public sector environments.
- Providing technical expertise across applications, systems, and databases.
- Data Project management, planning, and organizational support.
- Two consecutive years of experience within the last ten years providing Senior Technical Lead consultative services to federal, state, local, or other public agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related or Engineering field.
Nice To Have:
- Experience working on statewide or multi‑organization initiatives providing contracted Senior Technical Lead services to one or more California State Agencies, Offices, or Departments.
- Experience working with newly established (less than 5 years old) California State Agencies, Offices, or Departments in any staff or consulting capacity.
