This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies, developing optimized process workflows, supporting change adoption, and ensuring operational alignment across state teams. The position requires strong analytical skills, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Collect and interpret data related to process performance, cost, quality, and stakeholder impact.
- Benchmark current processes against industry standards and best practices.
- Redesign and optimize processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Create workflow diagrams and process maps (Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN‑compliant tools).
- Standardize processes across cross‑functional teams where appropriate.
- Partner with SMEs, department leads, and operational teams to gather requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and interviews to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Translate complex process issues into clear technical and operational requirements.
- Support change management, adoption planning, and communication for process changes.
- Develop training materials and facilitate trainings on new processes.
- Communicate process changes, benefits, and impacts to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT to align process improvements with system and data capabilities.
- Evaluate automation opportunities, tools, and technology platforms for process optimization.
- Define KPIs, measurement criteria, and evaluation methods for ongoing performance.
Must Have:
- 5–8 years of experience in business process analysis, workflow redesign, or operational improvement.
- Proven experience aligning process improvements to organizational strategy and goals.
- Experience collaborating across multiple departments and balancing competing priorities.
- Background leading process change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and adoption support.
- Familiarity with public-sector operations, regulatory requirements, or government service delivery.
- Experience with process automation tools, workflow engines, ERP/CRM systems, or analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Experience mapping workflows with wire diagrams utilizing software like Airflow or Visio.
- Experience using BPMN software similar to Lucidchart.
- Experience creating dashboards for data visualization utilizing tools similar to Tableau & PowerBI.
Nice To Have:
- Experience supporting digital transformations or large system modernization efforts.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, case management systems, or licensing/credentialing workflows.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
